Trick-or-treat

81 trick-or-treaters came to our house this Halloween. That number was up from 60 the year before. Our little dog was ecstatic to see all these people coming to our house. She waited for them on the steps and would run to the door every time the door bell rang. I actually think she was having more fun then the kids who were getting the candy. We showed her that she could sit on the couch and look out the window to see the spooky creatures invading the neighborhood. That kept her entertained all night. It was good to see her in good spirits since the that last couple of days she had been noticeably not feeling well after her own trick-or-treating. She had found some small bags filled with M&M’s and candy corn (which my wife had made with little cards to give to people at her work) in a spare room which I had left open (oops). Needless to say that was her first exposure to such high amounts of sugar as she opened and devoured a couple of the begs. For a five pound bog that’s a lot of sugar. Between the kids and the candy I think Halloween is her favorite holiday.
